Built in around 1404 Workington’s ‘castle’ has a rich history. In 1568, Mary, Queen of Scots stayed at the hall following the defeat of her forces at the Battle of Langside she crossed the Solway Firth to Workington disguised as an ordinary woman. It was also used as by the War Office during the second world war during which time it suffered a serious fire.

The size you order is the size of the print itself which is then mounted and framed in your choice of either oak or black painted wood.
